Honey Season! Masks, Health Benefits & More!

As some of you have already noticed, we've changed the name of our social media handles to "Naturally Helpful" and we've created a new website, NaturallyHelpfulMarketplace.com! Go check it out!

Speaking of honey.. are you all aware of the amazing healing benefits of pure, raw honey? I'm not talking about the cut-down store bought stuff, I'm talking about the raw, unpasteurized, unheated, straight from hive-to-bottle, delicious honey! This stuff is AMAZING for you in so many ways! Especially if you're looking for seasonal allergy relief! I've also attached 2 healthy face mask recipes below for dry or acne-prone skin!

Cinnamon & Raw Honey Face Mask (For Acne)

Ingredients

3 teaspoons raw honey
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation

1. Mix cinnamon & honey in small bowl.

2. Apply thin layer to face.

3. Leave on face for 10-30 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Yield: Makes 1 mask.

Notes: The antibacterial properties of both honey and cinnamon are especially beneficial for acne-prone skin! I personally find it really calms my acne-prone skin!

If you have sensitive skin, test a patch of your skin with the cinnamon, as it can irritate sensitive skin.

Also, since cinnamon is so powerful, I recommend doing this mask only once a week.

Honey Face Mask for Dry Skin

Ingredients

1 teaspoon mashed avacado
1 teaspoon plain whole milk yogurt
1 teaspoon raw honey
Preparation

1. Mix ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.

2. Spread mixture over your face & let it sit for 20-30 minutes before washing it off.

Yield: Makes 1 face mask.

Notes: The fats in the avocado and whole milk yogurt are deeply moisturizing to the skin, while the lactic acid in the yogurt smooths your skin, refines pores, and stimulates collagen production.

This mask is rich in B vitamins, vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, copper, manganese and magnesium. It’s basically nutrition for your face!

You can use this mask several times a week if you’d like. It’s very gentle on this skin!
